As you should well remember, in the first week I gave you some information about the blog, which is explained here in more detail.
Remember that you have to write 6 posts, which are divided as follows:
-Section 1: 4 posts will be evaluated according to how well you follow the instructions: If you write about what you are required, meet number of words required and you write your post within the time limit you get the top mark. If you take two extra days you get a 4, and if you fail to write your post you get a 1. These 4 posts account for 50% of your final blog mark
-Section 2: The 2 remaining posts (chosen randomly) will be checked considering grammar, vocabulary, cohesion, etc (see rubric below), and will be marked from 1 to 7. These 2 posts weigh the remaining 50% of your final blog mark.
Section 2: In this section, the maximum score per post is therefore 9 points, which stands for a 7.
Score Points | Task | Lexis | Grammar |
3 | All aspects of the task are very well handled | Excellent use of lexical resources | Grammar is excellent and almost error-free |
2 | The task is sufficiently handled | Good use of lexical resources. Coherence generally well handled. | Grammar is adequate despite minor errors |
1 | Some details of the task are missing or erroneous | Some problems with word formation and usage. Occasional lapses in coherence that hinders clarity of message. | Grammar is weak with noticeable errors |
0 | Writing is unrelated to task | Incorrect or erroneous lexis usage (or flaws in coherence) that hinders communication of message | Too many grammar errors to convey message |
